Communications and Digital Manager
Part-time Fixed Term (0.6–0.8 FTE) | Melbourne preferred | Flexible work arrangements
Applications close 21 July
The Energy Efficiency Council (EEC) is seeking a Communications and Digital Manager to help amplify our impact, strengthen our digital presence and engage members, partners, industry and government stakeholders across Australia.
The EEC is the national peak body for organisations working to harness the power of efficiency, electrification and energy flexibility to deliver a prosperous, net-zero future. We work with industry, governments and experts to accelerate practical solutions that support efficient, electric homes, productive, net-zero businesses and an optimised renewable energy system.
Reporting to the Head of Strategy and Partnerships, this hands-on role is responsible for delivering high-quality communications across digital, media, member and event channels. You will develop compelling content and campaigns, manage the EEC’s communications calendar, contribute to media engagement activities and help translate complex policy and industry topics into accessible, engaging communications.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys both strategic planning and practical delivery. You’ll be confident writing, editing, publishing, coordinating and reporting, often with limited external support.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Experience in communications, digital marketing, content creation or public relations;
- Strong writing, editing and message development skills;
- Experience delivering communications across EDMs, websites, social media and campaigns;
- Strong stakeholder management capabilities;
- Experience using platforms such as HubSpot, WordPress, EventsAir and Canva; and
- The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Experience in the energy, sustainability, industry association or membership sectors will be viewed favourably but is not essential.
What we offer:
- Flexible work arrangements;
- A collaborative and purpose-driven team environment;
- The opportunity to help shape Australia’s clean energy transition; and
- A part-time one-year contract position (0.6–0.8 FTE) with a view to permanency.
