Market Acceleration Strategy

Efficient, Electric Homes

Every Australian deserves to live in a home that’s healthy, comfortable and affordable to run.

Yet millions of homes across the country are cold in winter, hot in summer and expensive to power. We have the technology we need – insulation to improve thermal performance and efficient electric appliances, energy management systems and solar and batteries to power affordably. The challenge isn’t technology — it’s deploying it at scale.

The EEC’s Efficient Electric Homes: Market Acceleration Plan outlines how industry, government and the community can work together to accelerate deployment, build trust and grow the market for the products and services that will deliver efficient, electric homes. It also sets out how the EEC and its members are supporting a maturing ecosystem of trusted products and services, developing a skilled workforce and coordinating advocacy, communication and collaboration across the homes market.

Inaugural Homes Partners

The Efficient Electric Homes: Market Acceleration Plan is made possible through the support and voluntary contribution of our Inaugural Homes Partners — organisations committed to driving outcomes for the efficient, electric homes market.
