The EEC works on behalf of its members to advocate for ambitious and effective government policy
Government policy – such as targets, incentives, regulations and energy market rules – creates the settings for a mature market for demand-side products and services to develop and thrive.
The EEC’s expert policy team works with state and federal governments, key industry and professional associations, and non-governmental organisations, to develop and advocate for policy to support efficient, electric homes, productive, net-zero businesses, and optimised energy systems.
We do this by:
- working directly with governments to develop policy,
- producing submissions in response to government consulations,
- publishing evidence to underpin best-practice policy, and
- leading and supporting campaigns with our partners.
